St. Francis Xavier CWL

The Catholic Women's League of St. Francis Xavier is an organization open to all Catholic women sixteen years of age and over. It is a National organization, which meets in convention each year in a different province. The Mission Statement is fully described on their homepage

St. Francis Xavier’s CWL Council has a membership of approximately 176 members. Our meetings are held in our church hall at 7:00 p.m. on the last Tuesday of the month except June, July, August and December. The meetings begin with approximately 30 minutes of a spiritual/educational program followed by a business meeting and a time for socializing.
We speak out through personal letter writing and formal resolutions on issues needing moral direction, which may extend beyond our national borders. These resolutions are advanced to the National Council, which presents them to the government for action.

You will find our members active in all aspect of parish life. The money realized through a variety of fundraisers allows us to support various charities as well as needs within our own parish. We also serve at funeral receptions, with the assistance of our parishioners. Guest speakers at our meetings keep us abreast of local, national and international issues.
We continue to welcome new members to join us as a group of ladies experiencing “fun, faith and fulfillment”!
